Governors’ Ryan expected to miss Saturday’s football game with knee injury

Austin Peay State UniversityJake RyanClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University junior quarterback Jake Ryan is expected to miss this Saturday’s 4:00pm, homecoming game with Eastern Illinois as a result of knee injury sustained in last Saturday’s loss at Southeast Missouri.

Ryan, who incurred a sprained MCL early in the when he was hit during a pass attempt, is listed as week-to-week. On the season, the junior from Knoxville has completed 115 of 210 passes for 1275 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He will be replaced by freshman Landon Curtis, who completed 6-of-12 passes for 36 yards against Southeast Missouri last week in a relief role. The Calhoun, GA, native was first-team All-State quarterback at Calhoun High School after throwing for 2,560 yards and 32 TDs a year ago.
