APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Golf
Gulf Shores, AL – Austin Peay State University women’s golf team will utilize spring break to play a pair of dual matches against Belmont this week.
The Lady Govs and Bruins will play a 7:00pm, Tuesday match at Lakes/Cypress at Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club. Thursday’s dual will be played at Craft Farms.

Sophomore Tabitha Beard, Rachel Deaton and Tala Mumford along with freshman Meghan Mueller and senior Ashley Averitt will comprise the Lady Govs’ first dual match, That quintet was determined through qualifying rounds over the last few weeks. Juniors Holly Batey and Lauren Bond along with freshman Marta Gutierrez will play as individuals, Tuesday, on the 5,870-yard, par-72 course.
“We are looking forward to getting started,” Lady Govs coach Sara Robson said. “The girls are practicing hard and we have had some great weather.
“We need to come out tomorrow and make good decisions, stay patient and believe in ourselves.”
