APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field
Clarksville, TN – For the second-straight year, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team defeated Murray State and Tennessee Tech in the Showdown on the Cumberland.

In all, Austin Peay won five events – taking the top two spots in the 800-meter run, the 1500-meter run and the high jump. One of the meet’s highlights came with a second-place finish as senior Tanesha Campbell set the APSU school record in the discus with a 42.97m mark. Campbell also finished second in the shot put.
“Tanesha has been battling some injuries,” head coach Doug Molnar said. “She’s been after the discus mark for a while, so it was exciting to see her overcome and get the record.”
