Fort Campbell’s D.W. Recreation Center October Activities
Fort Campbell, KY – Join DW Recreation Center for some fun October activities! They’ll start the month off with a Family Friendly Pet Expo on October 6th at 3:00pm.
You’ll show off your pet when you take a short walk with them and then show off their talents and abilities. Awards will be presented for the “Smallest Pet”, “Largest Pet”, Most Unique Pet” and “Best Trick”. All pets are welcome.
Information will also be available on local rescue organizations, pet supply businesses, and training. Door prizes will be given.
On October 13th at 2:00pm they will be holding a Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Xbox 360 Tournament. This video game tournament is open to all authorized MWR users age 18 and over. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.
On Columbus Day, October 14th, DW Rec will be open from 11:00am to 8:00pm with special activities planned throughout the day.
October 20th will bring you a Post Wide Spades Tournament at 2:00pm. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR users. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Bring the entire Family to the “Family Halloween Carnival” on October 26th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. It will be an afternoon on fun! There will be games and contests as well as tattoos, stickers and balloon animals. Don’t forget to dress up for the costume contest – Mom and Dad need to dress up too and enter the Family category. This is a free activity. There will be limited concessions available for purchase.
On October 27th at 2:00pm you can watch a scary movie and eat free popcorn. Those watching the movies will choose from several selections of Horror Flicks. Movies may not be suitable for all ages.

The D.W. Recreation Center is located at 6145 Desert Storm Avenue. All eligible participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains present the entire time.
