Clarksville, TN – Senior guard Travis Betran, of Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

The Harlem native’s season-high scoring binge came on 7-for-17 from the floor, including three three-pointers, and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Betran’s now averaging 11.9 points in seven contests, and has hit 20-of-23 (.870) from the charity stripe this season.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Sophomore guard Tiasha Gray, of the women’s basketball team, scored a career-high 28 points on 13-for-20 from the floor in Austin Peay’s 81-60 win against Central Arkansas to close out November. She’s averaging 18.3 points and 6.7 assists through the season’s first six games.
Sophomore guard Zavion Williams, of the men’s basketball team, came off the bench for 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting, including the game-clinching jumper with 15 seconds remaining, in the Govs 88-86 victory at Youngstown State. Since moving to a reserve role prior to the Cal State Northridge game, Williams is averaging 14.6 points on 52 percent (13-for-25) shooting.
