Clarksville Police report shooting at Willis and Bailey’s Gaming Station

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at 3:36am, Clarksville patrol officers investigated a shooting at Willis and Bailey’s Gaming Station, 2471 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Officers discovered a woman with a single gunshot wound to the left abdomen sitting in a car in the parking lot.

Investigation determined that an after-hours party at the business had turned into a fight that led to gunfire. Officers searched the building with consent of the proprietor, and found a nine millimeter handgun.

Information gathered at the scene suggests that the injured woman was an innocent bystander to the fight who was hit by a stray bullet while walking up a spiral staircase to the second floor of the building.

The woman, a visitor from West Virginia, was transported by ambulance to Outlaw Field and taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

Detective Thomas Tranberg, who has interviewed the victim at the hospital, is in charge of the investigation.
