APSU Men's TennisClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team once again hits the road for an 11:00am, Sunday, March 4th contest at Kennesaw State, closing out their seven-game road trip.

The Govs (1-7) have not played a home match since January 27th against Chattanooga, playing six road matches in February.

APSU’s lone win came back on February 9th against Southern Indiana.

The Govs have had plenty of time to prepare for the Owls (1-5), as they have not played since February 17th, a loss to IUPUI. The Govs have played Kennesaw State twice in program history, splitting the two matches with the most recent match coming in 2015, which the Owls won.

Senior Aleh Drobysh is the lone Governor left from that match and the only one to face a Kennesaw State opponent in dual or tournament play.

Austin Peay cannot be fooled by Kennesaw State’s record. While they lost their opening five matches, the Owls lost four of them by only a 4-3 score line, being competitive in each match. The Owls also won their last outing, a road match against Wofford, by a familiar 4-3 score line. In addition, Kennesaw State’s Lucas de Torres Curth was honored as the Atlantic-Sun Tennis Player of the Week.

Kennesaw State is providing live updates for the match from their website. Also, make sure to follow the Govs on Twitter @AustinPeayMTN for additional updates the rest of the season.
