Flags Flown at Half-Staff to honor Judge Raymond Grimes on December 1st, 2020

 

Montgomery County and City of Clarksville honor the late Judge Raymond Grimes

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Flags at all Montgomery County Government and City of Clarksville offices and facilities will fly at half-staff Tuesday, December 1st in honor of Judge Raymond Grimes, who died November 26th after being hospitalized with COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Grimes, 73, served as a general sessions and juvenile court judge in Montgomery County for 22 years and was also the founder of the Montgomery County Recovery Court. He was a former Montgomery County Commissioner and retired as Lt. Commander from the U.S Coast Guard Reserves.

Montgomery County Sheriff Investigator Larry Hodge passes away

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Thirty year veteran with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Larry Hodge, 55, has passed away.

Hodge is the son of an Air Force veteran and grew up all over the world. As a child he rose to the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1978 and shortly thereafter settled in Clarksville with his family.

Clarksville Riverfest’s 2014 Tour d’Art Winners Awarded

 

2014 RiverfestClarksville, TN – After hundreds of artists had their works of art on display at two locations in downtown Clarksville, then judged by artist Mary Addison Hackett, winners were awarded at Clarksville Riverfest’s Tour d’Art Receptions held Thursday, September 4th and Friday, September 5th, 2014.

Over $2,500 in prizes were awarded.

The competition included five categories: Photography & Digital Images, Sculpture, Painting, Mixed Media/Collage, and Drawing. Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) and a Best of Show Award.

Clarksville Police Department Assists Victim’s Family

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 22nd, 2013, one of our citizens, Moises Cedeño, lost his life in Nashville, TN, as a result of an attempted robbery.

The Clarksville Police Department’s Chaplain, Modesto Martinez, was contacted by the Nashville Metro Police Department’s Chaplain, requesting assistance to locate the family. Clarksville's Riverfest 2013Clarksville, TN – Every year, Clarksville’s Riverfest Tour d’Art exhibits feature the talents from artists across the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.

There are three divisions; the Senior (Downtown Artists Co-op), the High School (Customs House Museum) and the Amateur and Professional Divisions (Smith-Trahern Mansion).
