Clarksville Police report juvenile escapee Tai Harrell captured

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that juvenile Tai Harrell, age 16, who was on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) wanted list and has been on the run since April 11th, 2019 after escaping from a juvenile detention facility, is now in custody and being held in a Kentucky detention facility.

The Clarksville Police Department’s relentless efforts to recapture Tai Harrell came to fruition last night when he was taken in custody in Oak Grove, KY without incident around 11:00pm.

Clarksville Police Identify U.S. Bank Robbery Suspect as Muhammad Shahid

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department charged and booked Muhammad Talik Shahid, 25, of Clarksville into the Montgomery County Jail for Criminal Attempted Aggravated Robbery. His bond is set at $150,000. He was booked around 3:30pm, Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018. He does not show any previous local criminal history.

On Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 around 10:41am, an armed man, with his face partially covered, walked into the U.S. Bank, 3301 Fort Campbell Boulevard, and gave the teller a note demanding money. The robber had a gun on his side, but did not point it at the teller.

Clarksville Police arrest U.S. Bank Robbery Suspect

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 around 10:41am Clarksville Police report an armed man, with his face partially covered, walked into the U.S. Bank, 3301 Fort Campbell Boulevard, and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The would-be robber had a gun on his side, but did not point it at the teller. Then, for an unknown reason, the man quickly departed the bank before receiving any money.

Clarksville Police report Mitchell Street Homicide Suspect in Custody, release Victim’s Name

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The homicide victim found on Mitchell Street, May 23rd, 2018 is Tanesha Hardy, 36, of Clarksville.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 around noon, the Clarksville Police Department in conjunction with Oak Grove Police Department, took Homicide suspect, Timothy Ogburn in custody in Oak Grove Kentucky without incident.

He was charged and booked into the Christian County Jail, by Oak Grove Police Department for Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The charge was unrelated to Clarksville’s Homicides. Bond has not been set.

Timothy Ogburn is in custody and will be extradited from the Christian County Jail.

Clarksville Police Department swears in new Officer Brittney Huneycutt

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Brittney Honeycutt was sworn in as the newest Clarksville police officer Wednesday morning, March 1st, 2017. Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan administered the oath of office to the former Oak Grove, Kentucky officer in an 8:30am ceremony at the mayor’s office.

Honeycutt comes to the Department with two and one-half years of experience as an Oak Grove officer.

Clarksville Police capture Double Homicide Suspect Jeremy Demar

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police located and arrested a suspect a few hours after a double homicide was discovered in Oak Grove, Kentucky. The Clarksville-Montgomery County E911 Center was notified of the Oak Grove shooting at 7:21pm.

Patrol officers in all three of Clarksville’s Community Policing Districts searched for the suspect, who was believed to have fled the scene in a tan Buick.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies capture dangerous felon Anthony Atkins

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's OfficeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies (MCSO) aided by the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) apprehended a dangerous felon early Friday morning.

Anthony Atkins, 28, had warrants on file from an incident that occurred earlier this month when he allegedly kidnapped his girlfriend by gunpoint and threatened to torture and kill her.

An anonymous tip led deputies to Atkins location at a home in the 1500 block of Briar Hill Road. He attempted to evade apprehension by jumping from a rear bedroom window and running on foot to a nearby wooded area.

Clarksville Police release Check Scam update

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On December 1st, 2016 the Clarksville Police Department made the public aware of a check scam. There were several responses to the scam alert.

First, an off-duty Detective was approached by the suspect with the same story at a local business and was able to collect photos. Two of the three victims positively identified him as the same suspect that approached them.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today, Friday, May 20th, 2016 at 1:00pm, the Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Hopkinsville Police Department and Oak Grove Police Department put on a press event that was coordinated by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO).

Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) Tony Burnett from the THSO led the event by welcoming the media and others in attendance. He thanked all the law enforcement personnel representing each of the agencies and explained the Hands Across the Border (HATB) campaign.

Hands Across the border Sobriety Roadside Safety Checkpoints and Saturation Patrols to be held May 20th and 21st

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, Hopkinsville Police Department and Oak Grove Police Department will be conducting roadside safety checkpoints and saturation patrols on May 20th, 2016 and May 21st, 2016 in Montgomery County, Tennessee and Christian County, Kentucky.

The locations of the checkpoints will be on U.S. 41-A near the state line. Saturation Patrols will be on U.S. 41-A, Tennessee State Routes 374 & 236, Kentucky State Routes 400, 115 & 911.
