Clarksville Police charge Seven Men with Patronizing Prostitution in New Providence

Clarksville, TN – On February 24th, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit partnered with uniformed officers from the Operation Defiance Coalition and female patrol officers acting in an undercover capacity as prostitutes to conduct an undercover operation in the New Providence Boulevard area, a location known for prostitution.

The operation’s goals were to discourage patronizing of prostitution and assure the residents of the area that the Clarksville Police Department is committed to cleaning up their neighborhoods. Additionally, defendants will be screened for inclusion in the community programs offered by the Operation Defiance Coalition.

Seven people were charged and booked into Montgomery County Jail.
