Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University athletics and the Governors Club served as host to the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce’s August “Business After Hours,” Thursday, at APSU’s Pace Alumni Center.
The monthly networking event for Chamber members also served as a kickoff for Austin Peay fans to celebrate the beginning of the 2014-15 competition season.
In fact, the Governors will open the 2014 football season, August 30th, at Memphis before debuting New Governors Stadium, September 13th, when they play host to Chattanooga.
APSU Athletics Director Derek van der Merwe welcomed the crowd while second-year football coach Kirby Cannon followed with short preview on his young team.
Door prizes also were awarded to multiple chamber members.
