Land Between the Lakes Quota Deer Hunt Application Deadline July 31st

Land Between the LakesGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area reminds hunters that the July 31st, deadline for 2012 quota deer hunt applications is rapidly approaching.

To submit your application before July 31st, visit www.lbl.org or call 270.924.2065. The application fee is $5.00 online, or $7.00 by phone. After applying, applicants can check back in late-August to see if they were drawn.

Quota hunts not only provide unique recreational opportunities within the LBL region, they help maintain a healthy deer population. Deer harvested on LBL are bonus deer and do not count toward statewide bag limits. All quota hunt permits will be either-sex permits. Also, there is an LBL-wide one (1) antlered buck limit.

Habitat maps, and the LBL Recreation Map which shows the hunt areas, are available on the Internet at www.lbl.org/VCMaps.html . LBL Recreation Maps are also available for purchase at LBL facilities for $3.00.

Come Outside and Play at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Managed by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Land Between The Lakes provides outdoor recreation, lake access, and environmental education for the public to enjoy.
