Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Banker magazine has recognized the community efforts of F&M Bank for it’s support of Clarksville’s popular “Comedy on the Cumberland” franchise. The stand-up comedy show that raises money for various local charities in Clarksville has been hugely successful in raising awareness of community charities, and generating much need cash for their operations.

“This was something that wasn’t just making a donation. This was a multimedia effort to promote the charity and it’s needs, while producing an event that local residents wanted to see” said Stuard. “Our bank would be involved in the promotion, in selling tickets, and getting personally involved with a different charity at each show.”
In the magazine’s February edition, the article highlighted how successful the concept is, and the positive impact Comedy on the Cumberland has in the community. Raising over thirty thousand dollars in it’s first two years, the clean stand up comedy show plans to expand to a bigger venue, with bigger name talent in 2012.
“As a comedian, I know that all we want is somebody to laugh at our routines, and Clarksville is a great crowd for comedy” according to Bonecutter. “Clarksville has to go to Nashville to enjoy a comedy show, now, Comedy on the Cumberland brings the Nashville comics here.”
Comedy on the Cumberland returns to Clarksville in April. Be sure to like us on Facebook to keep up with future dates and performers.
