2014 Greater Nashville Heart Walk

The annual event is the largest fundraiser for the American Heart Association in the Nashville area, and funds go to vital research, public health programs and community education about how to fight the no. 1 killer of Tennesseans, cardiovascular disease. This year’s fundraising goal is $2 million.

A free two-hour festival will start at 8:00am, featuring health-oriented interactive games, music, displays and activities for the whole family. The Walk begins at 10:00am. There is no fee to participate, but donations are encouraged. Walkers are eligible for a free Heart Walk t-shirt once they have raised a minimum of $100.00.

Ben R. Leedle, Jr., President & CEO of Healthways, Inc. and Peter J. Weien, Manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Attractions, are co-chairs of this year’s campaign.
