Clarksville, TN – The local high school basketball season came to a close last Friday. Regular season champions were crowned and the seeds for the first post season tournaments were set. The District 10-AAA girls basketball teams experienced déjà vu as the Rossview Lady Hawks repeated as the regular season champions.
The Lady Hawks (18-7) controlled their own fate last week and got the wins necessary to capture another regular season championship.

Then, they skinned the West Creek Lady Coyotes, 56-26, Friday. The Lady Hawks lost only one district game all season. They will be the #1 seed in the District 10-AAA tournament.
The Clarksville High Lady Wildcats (18-9) secured the #2 seed by defeating the Henry County Lady Patriots, 46-40, Friday. They finished the season winning eight of their last nine games and just one district win behind the Lady Hawks.
The Lady Patriots (19-10) split games last week with a win against the Northwest Lady Vikings and a loss to the Lady Wildcats. The loss to the Wildcats made them the third seed for the District 10-AAA tournament. Since the start of 2015, the Lady Patriots have only lost district games to the Lady Hawks and the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Coyotes (11-12) lost three of their last four regular season games. Their last win was against the Northeast Lady Eagles, 58-49, last Tuesday. It was enough for them to grab the fourth seed from the Lady Eagles.
The Northeast Lady Eagles (11-16) finished the season with a 50-48 win over the Kenwood Lady Knights. However, it was not enough for them to get a home game in the first round of the upcoming District 10-AAA tournament. The Lady Eagles finished fifth in the district.
The Lady Knights (8-17) finished the season losing both of their games last week. They plummeted to the bottom half of the district bracket. They are the sixth seed in the district tournament.
The Lady Vikings (4-20) and the Springfield Lady Yellow Jackets (2-19) are separated by only two district games, and those games are the two in which the Lady Vikings beat the Yellow Jackets, including the last game of the season last Friday. Both teams will have a tough first round in the district tournament as the seventh and eighth seeds.
The Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars (1-19, 1-11) finished an ugly regular season with a loss to the East Robertson Lady Indians, 53-71. As a result, they will play a rematch against the Lady Indians in the 10-A tournament Monday, February 9th.
